Privacy Policy
Prism ("Prism", "we", "us") is an AI-powered social media content studio. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Prism app, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: the username and password you choose to sign in (passwords are stored as salted hashes, never in plain text).
- Content you upload: photos and videos you submit for AI caption/image generation.
- Generated content history: the captions, hashtags, and images Prism generates for you, stored in your account so you can revisit past results.
- App settings: preferences such as your AI provider choice, niche, and notification settings.
- Session data: a single essential login cookie that keeps you signed in. Prism does not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
- Push notification subscription: only if you opt in to browser push notifications, we store the subscription endpoint needed to deliver them.
2. How We Use Information
We use this information solely to operate Prism: authenticating your account, generating AI captions/images from your uploaded media, keeping a history you can browse, and sending optional reminders you've opted into. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your content to train our own AI models.
3. Third-Party AI Providers
To generate captions and images, the content you upload is sent to the AI provider you (or your account) has selected — Google Gemini, OpenAI, or xAI (Grok) — or, if you run Prism locally, a self-hosted Ollama instance you control. Each cloud provider processes this content under its own privacy terms, which govern that transmission. No other third parties receive your uploaded content.
4. Social Media Publishing
Prism does not currently publish content directly to Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok on your behalf. If and when direct publishing is added, Prism will only ever use official OAuth access tokens issued by those platforms — never your platform passwords — and this policy will be updated before that feature is enabled.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in a private database on our hosting infrastructure (Fly.io), accessible only over HTTPS. Session cookies are marked HttpOnly and Secure. Passwords are hashed, never stored or logged in plain text.
6. Data Retention & Your Rights
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request a copy of your data, or request that your account and all associated data be permanently deleted, at any time by emailing info@prismaicreator.com. We will complete deletion requests within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
Prism is not directed at, and is not knowingly used by, children under 13 years of age.
8. Cookies
Prism uses a single essential session cookie required for you to stay signed in. We do not use third-party advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in-app.
